ball hills trying
Basically, we were trying to keep (Bonner's Jeff) Hills from getting the ball at that point.
ball both gave points pressure running teams
We got a lot of those points out of our defense. We put a little pressure on them. We scored 22 points but we gave up 19. So both teams were running the ball pretty well.
ball boards came controlled david extremely halftime happy jeff knocked moves nice open points score
We were extremely happy with the way we came out tonight. Twenty-two points has been a halftime score for us in some games. So that was nice. We knocked down some open shots. David and Jeff made some nice moves inside. We controlled the boards and were able to get the ball down the floor.
ball chris free game good missing nice obviously throw
It was big for us. Chris had a real good ball game tonight. He's kind of been missing out of our offense. So it was nice to have him back in it. He was 12 for 14 from the free throw line. That obviously was a big push.
ball good happened job
It just so happened that we did a good job getting the ball down the floor. That comes from good rebounding.
ball care early force four good mode nine points start straight third three throw
We had chances. Even at nine points we come out and throw the ball away three or four straight times to start the third quarter. We just got into force mode a little early and when you don't take care of the basketball, nothing good is going to happen.
ball offensive percent shot strong
We shot the ball a lot better tonight. We were 16 for 34, that's about 50 percent and we went 15 of 26 at the line. You can't give them 20 offensive rebounds. They're just so strong and so physical.
against ball basketball bottom care concerned david decent everywhere hand inside jeff job needed number opportunity players post pressure steal touches
They put enough pressure on us around the perimeter that we couldn't get the ball inside. That was a big concern. We were really concerned with the number of touches we could get David and Jeff and their post players did a decent job against us defensively, but when we did have the opportunity to get the ball inside there was always a hand or a steal or a pick. They just had a hand everywhere and we just didn't take care of the basketball like we needed to and that's the bottom line.
ball good intensity kept
Coaching-wise, it's good to see it happen. I thought we were executing. So if we kept the intensity up, and kept getting the ball down the floor, things were going to happen.
hard keeping offensive time
We just had a hard time keeping them off the offensive boards.
free good hit job pleased throws
We hit some free throws at the end and did a good job defensively. We're pleased with what we're doing right now.
biggest bottom close concern couple gigantic good halftime hit hole hurry job knew line points quarters score shot stay tied
Bottom line is by halftime we were tied there and they hit a couple buckets right before half. They jumped on us in a hurry and that's the biggest concern with them. They come out and you look at what they do to teams, they have gigantic first quarters and have them in such a hole that they don't ever recover. But we did a good job of regrouping and responding. I knew if we'd get close there at the half we had a shot to stay with it. You can't give up (that many) points in the first half. That's not the kind of score we wanted.
free luck shot throws
Sometimes you have to have a little luck on your side, as well, especially the way we shot some free throws down the stretch.
climbed cut everybody hill quarter
At that point, everybody was focused. We climbed a hill and got back into the game. We cut it down to one quarter of basketball.
