It was borderline embarrassing. We're definitely looking for some kind of redemption to change things from last year. Everyone's still a little angry about that one, you know, ending your season like that.

I went to bed the first night knowing I had to win or else that was it. And I also knew it was against the same kid who blew out my knee last year. So, I had a lot going through my mind.

My whole sophomore year, as a student and as an athlete, was horrible. I had no energy and I had a lot of problems focusing. I didn't do well in the classroom. I was having trouble on the mat.

In my five years of being here, this has probably been the best togetherness we've had on our team. Everybody believes in everybody. We all do what we can to help each other out. I don't look at those guys as freshmen anymore. They've wrestled the whole season. They've been through it. They're the same as we all are.
