I think it's what a lot of people expected at the beginning of the season, us and Boston back in the playoffs.
It goes without saying how special a player he is, what he represents in the game. So it was an honor for me that he wanted to take a picture. He wanted to take a picture with me? It was definitely a good feeling.
It is like the postseason. I think that's the approach everyone is going to take. You want to win. It's a tournament. You want to represent your country.
Good for him. Now he has the chance to be remembered for something other than just catching a home run.
He seems not to be bothered by anything, and that will help him here. Obviously he's a great player. But he's not going to have any trouble adjusting to New York after being in Boston.
He's got that demeanor where he's just having fun, it seems like. Sort of like Soriano a little bit in that sense. He's always smiling, having a good time. He doesn't seem to be affected.
He's as tough as any pitcher in baseball. We tried to score early and Robby had the big hit.
He's been pitching well. Today, he scuffled more than he has in the past. He battled us out of a couple of jams.
He's been pitching well, ... Today, he scuffled more than he has in the past. He battled us out of a couple of jams.
He's been huge. I think the thing with Chacon is he's not intimidated by anything, ... It seems like he has all the confidence in the world.
He's been doing it every time out. We missed him when he was out, and now he's healthy and he's picking up where he left off.
He's done it for us before. He pitched well. He pitched well for us. He didn't do it as consistently as he probably would have liked to, but he's got great stuff and he mixes it up.
Well, you don't have to look at the scoreboard anymore.
We made mistakes. That's what cost us a couple of runs.
