We had a lead today, but it was a short one. One bad inning, that's all it was. When you lose that edge of momentum, things change quickly. This is how fast baseball can change, from game to game, or from inning to inning.

This was a combination of two great pitching efforts. It's always nice to be a part of history. It's also a nice send off for us on the road trip. Hopefully it gives the players a lot of adrenaline and a lot of emotion.

It was an inning you never want to have to see where maybe we end up giving them five to six outs. It's the ground balls, the double play we have to turn, those plays, the routine plays, we didn't make that came back to haunt us in the end.

It always comes down to pitching and defense. We hit some balls good but right at some people. The three-run inning just sort of took us out of it. In the end, it's a game we didn't win and the big offense is going to have to show up tomorrow.
