Previously, we had hall monitors who weren't allowed to physically intervene in altercations or do a lot of the things our current safety officers are able to do.

To my understanding, the student was subdued and taken to the (Lorain County) detention home. Obviously, we'll be reviewing the situation at school (today). Being on the bus is no different than being on school property, and the school bus isn't held to any different standards for disciplinary actions.

It's our job to teach students at a young age that inappropriate behavior is unacceptable. The student did something wrong, admitted he did something wrong and received the proper discipline.
