looking support team
The way we are looking at it, we will have at least one team to support in the semifinals.
days shut
There's going to be days where you're going to be shut out and can't find the hole. We had opportunities. Some days you hit, some days you don't.
less matter pressure score team time
There's going to be a lot less pressure on Carlos this time around. That's why it doesn't matter where I hit. This team is going to score runs, period.
energy gets kicked level notch
There's just an energy level that gets kicked up a notch when Pedro pitches.
design hard imagine sounds stuff
Sounds like the kind of stuff routinely done with this kind of network. It's hard to imagine they would design one without it.
bring playing wants
Not yet. But bring it on. He's probably playing for quarters. If he wants to play a real game, he can come see me.
Once we got that close, we just said there was no way we were going to lose.
bothering course expect past whatever
If I'm on the field, I expect to go out there and give 100 percent. Whatever little things are bothering you through the course of the year, you need to get past those.
goes vote
If I had a Cy Young vote, my vote goes to him.
easy kindness left plate swing
I don't think he got it in as much as he wanted to. He kind of left it over the plate and I put a nice, easy swing on it.
coming feels guys incredibly low profile trying year
He really feels that he is a target. All these guys (Iraqi interpreters) are incredibly nervous. It's as dicey as I've seen, and I've been coming here for more than a year now. We're trying to keep as low a profile as we can.
last pressure puts reason struggling
He puts a lot of pressure on himself. I think that was part of the reason for him struggling last year.
biggest continue deal dealing develop fail failure gone guy league leagues learn learned major minor raw talent year
You see that he has all the raw tools, and he does everything exceptionally well. The biggest thing is he has to learn he has major league talent and major league tools, but he has to learn to continue to develop mentally. You have to learn to deal with failure. He's gone through the minor leagues quickly, and you kind of want a guy to fail a little bit. I learned more out of that year (in 2003) dealing with failure than I did in any other year when I was doing well.
energy level notch picks rest run team
You run out of things to say about Pedro. As he goes, the rest of the team goes. Our energy level picks up a notch when he pitches.
