I started off kind of slow, but came back and ended up making a lot of birdies. I putted well and capitalized every time I hit a good shot.

Did a lot of good stuff today. I hit some bad shots, but overall, another good, solid round of golf and put myself right there with a chance to win the golf tournament going to the weekend. You know, that's what I'm here to try to do. So I'm in good position so far.

Just a fun day to play golf. I definitely think last week helped me, coming in here when we had tough conditions (the first two days). Then when it doesn't blow, and you can hit a normal shot, you're licking your chops that, hey, I can score here.

I was just trying to feed off what Chad was doing. He was hitting the ball close to the hole. I wasn't getting it so close so I had to make a couple long putts. It was a great day all around for both of us.

I just don't think it's fair. Why do I have to hit into whatever that little fairway is, and then, a third of the field can just hit it as hard as they want to? What if you're trying to win the tournament against one of those guys? I think it's a bad setup the way they have it. To me, it's either go back even farther (with the tee) so maybe just one or two people can do it. Or move it up so that we all have same shot.

I hit my first drive into a bunker, hit a good shot and made birdie, ... We're walking off the green, and Jack says, 'It was all set up by the drive.' One hole and he was already taking his shots.

I feel a lot better about it than not being able to play on the weekend that's for sure. I've come back with a couple of solid rounds, so I feel pretty good. I'm just trying to hit good shots, work on my game a little bit so that I feel good about every part of it.

I'm just playing solid and I'm going to have to go out and do it again tomorrow, that's for sure. Because the way he played golf today ... he drove the ball fantastic, hit it close to the hole, so it just didn't look like he was going to struggle at all in any part of the game.

What that tells me is that his misses are in the right spot, and he must be putting pretty well. That's what I can take from no bogeys.

It would've been nice to separate myself, but that's OK. I'm in good position, and I'll hopefully learn from my back nine today and do better tomorrow.
