consistent erase good icing last memories year
Last year was so disappointing. We just really wanted to erase those memories and it's been such a good year. We've been real consistent and this is just icing on the cake.
last thinking
That's the last thing I'll be thinking about.
against canada committed country days deliver deserves effort enjoy hopefully last losing team time title
I didn't enjoy losing last year. There's nothing I've got against the country (Canada). I'm doing this for myself, the team and for the coaches. We've put so much effort into it this year, committed so much time and days off, I think this team deserves a world title and hopefully we can deliver it.
last might since win worlds year
This is just fantastic. I've always wanted, since I started curling, to win the worlds and after last year it was so disappointing I thought I might not get another opportunity.
bit bronze came given great last medal week win wrong
It's devastating. We wanted that bronze medal every bit as much as we wanted to win the semi-final. We had given some great performances over the last week but just came out on the wrong end of it.
ends games hundred played
You get games like that and you've just got to take it on the chin. We could have played a hundred ends and not get a result.
days
You get days like that and you've just got to take it on the chin.
beat came good great hearts prepared quite teams trained
We really couldn't have done any more. We trained our hearts out and prepared as well as we could and came here and had some great performances and beat a lot of good teams but just never quite got the breaks.
fantastic feels finally good ice quite
It feels fantastic to finally get started after all the build-up. We are not quite used to the ice yet but it was important to get a good start. When we've started well in the past, we have always done well.
forced messy placed pressure stones
I think we just placed our stones better today. We never made a messy shot. We forced a lot of pressure on Canada.
behind great happy team
I'm happy because I've got a great team behind me.
bury chance hard hoping next time
It is hard to take because the chance was there. It will be with me for a long time but I am hoping we will get the chance to bury it at the next Olympics.
recycle run
It is important to reuse our resources. If you don't recycle and reuse things, you may run out of them.
beaten beating capable opposition
We've beaten all our opposition at different times, so we know we are capable of beating them on the day.
