I can't say I was leaping with joy with much of the news. I have been assured that the DVD production company believes they will be able to release the WHITESNAKE DVD on October 25, but, to be honest, I will believe it when I see it. On my return from South America, I will devote ALL my energy to rescuing it if the situation has not changed. So, as of now, you guys know as much as me. Do I feel like a victim? You bet. How does that feel? NOT GOOD! Am I pissed? YEP!! It does not suit me at all. So I am moving on. And as I promised you before, I will do everything I can to ensure it is released this year.
Most live albums aren't live, parts of them are, but I've always felt it was because bands hadn't attended to writing songs enough.
It doesn't mean there aren't other contributing factors, the investigation is not finished yet. There may be other elements.
I think I'm putting on the best shows I've ever done vocally and physically in my presentation,
I can't endorse Napster because I'm a professional musician, but Napster did give me the idea that I can give something back to my supporters.
It's as if everyone has been waiting for something new from the band...I'm thrilled with the response to the DVD...It's been overwhelmingly positive & sets us up for the next move...
Amateurs in professional situations make me very impatient.
Whitesnake more than most rock bands would get a very significant percentage of women in the audience and those were the ones I'd hear the voices because from where I am on stage is a pretty good spot.
The audience will make you feel like a demigod. But when you leave the stage, get back to being human.
With Whitesnake it would have been inappropriate for me to have played Deep Purple songs, although I did at the beginning because I didn't have enough Whitesnake songs.
I stand by every decision I've made throughout my career and my life, good or bad, up or down.
I take care of my voice; I'm working out the way I would do my body, so that stays in shape.
I'm the last person to ask 'what do you remember' from a particular time period... I like to learn from the past... not 'live' in it.
If I was a politician right now I would change just about everything.
