Two hat tricks in one game at any level is a remarkable accomplishment. I don't remember any games when we've had two hat tricks.
bring escort police talking track trying
We were talking about doing the Deion Sanders thing, trying to get a police escort to bring them back from the track meet.
against allowed gave goals shut three
We thought it was not too bad. Steamboat allowed three goals to Delta. We gave up two. Steamboat let in one against Glenwood. We shut them out.
barney both critical great kelly players plays sliding teams
Both teams had to make critical plays defensively. Obviously, Kelly Labor's a great player, but they have other great players - Ann Barney and some of those kids. We didn't want to end up in a 1-on-1 situation. We always had players sliding across.

Both were great goals. I don't think our keeper was at fault on either one.

Two 4-2s in a row. That's the score of the week. There was bound to be a slight lull from the Glenwood game. It's hard to generate that kind of energy and emotion twice in 48 hours. Having said that, I think they dealt well with the field and the other team and the crowd and showed some composure.
goals lost six

andy beating boys chance horizon last record rifle team unlikely
Looming on the horizon is Rifle. I think it's unlikely that any of the boys are going to get Andy Banner's (single-season scoring) record this year. But, they have a chance to do something that last year's team didn't do by beating Rifle on the road.
books coaching concentration either focused games high level officials ourselves ready respect responsibility talk turn
We have a responsibility to show respect for the game, for the opponents, the officials and ourselves by approaching all the games in the same manner. As so many coaching books talk about, you can't just turn on and off the concentration switch. You're either always focused and always ready to play at a high level or you're not.
chicago lead nice opening president quote rest shoot white
We read a quote from the president about the Chicago White Sox. He said to them, 'Hey, you went out on opening day, and you never surrendered the lead for the rest of the season.' It's a nice thing to shoot for.
fitness girls remember second starting
I thought Moffat did really well. You've got to remember it was 1-1 after 30 minutes. You could see fitness starting to tell in the second half. Our girls are very fit and pretty athletic.
