certain found goes guys niche people players veteran washed work
Sometimes players find a niche with a certain team, and he's found that niche. It just goes to show that those veteran guys who people think are washed up, in the right circumstances, it can work out perfectly.
crafty goes ice keen picks reads
He's a crafty, keen player. Crafty in the way he goes about it on the ice and keen on the way he picks up things and reads plays.
both goals goes grit hard net plays
Both our goals were hard plays at the net. Brenden goes hard to the net ? just grit plays. You do those enough, and you get rewarded.
bad concerned goes planning player respond seemed serious skating talked
When any player goes down you get a little scare, but it's not bad at all. He just tweaked an old injury. When I talked to him between periods, he seemed to respond well, so I don't think it's serious at all. I just talked to him and he was planning on skating tomorrow, so there's nothing to be concerned about. I don't think there's much to evaluate.
came formed goes hanging identify north people team time
This organization came in and formed its own identity. Time goes on. People identify with this team more than hanging on to the North Stars' past.
certainly early factors familiar game goes grows guy happy keeps showing stages
He's certainly a guy that as you become more familiar with him, he grows on you. There's a lot of factors to his game that he keeps showing you as it goes on, and I think we're still in the early stages with him. But, so far, we've been very happy with what we've seen.
certainly early factors familiar game goes grows guy happy keeps player showing solid stages
He's the kind of guy that you know he's a solid player and does a lot of little things well in the game. But he's certainly a guy that as you become more familiar with him, he grows on you. . . . There's a lot of factors to his game that he keeps showing you as it goes on, and I think we're still in the early stages with him. But so far, we've been very happy with what we've seen.
ability coming exhibition goes guys level points score transition
He's one of our young guys who has the ability to score and put points on the board. There's always a transition coming over here, but we'll see how he adjusts as the level goes up through the exhibition games.
follow good grind hit people plays puck seemed
The puck seemed to follow him around. He was always on the puck and making good plays. He's not going to hit a lot of people or grind you up. But he makes good plays under pressure.
good nice period rewarded team third together wrapped
We got rewarded for the good things we've been doing. It was nice to see the team come together a little bit. The third period kind of wrapped it all up.
against decent good halfway incentive playoffs pushed pushing ways win
I've thought about that before. If we had just been halfway decent against L.A., we probably would have pushed it a little farther. But this is good incentive for us right now. One of the ways to make the playoffs is to win your division, and that was something we set out to do right from the start. We've got to keep pushing in that direction.
behind provide since talked training valuable
The shootout is going to provide very valuable points. If you don't take them seriously, you're going to be behind the game. We've talked about that since Day 1 of training camp.
both bringing club continue continued cup deal entire excited forward goal great moves provide pursue remain stability staff stanley success together ultimate
These moves will provide the club a great deal of stability as we continue to pursue our ultimate goal of bringing the Stanley Cup back to Dallas. I'm excited that the entire staff will remain together and we look forward to continued success both on and off the ice.
best counted drag everybody gone needed players step
Things haven't gone the way we would have liked. We needed our best players to step up and be counted and drag everybody else through.
