No! You've got to have meaning to the regular season. Right now, the balance is okay. That was my only fear when we moved to 64 teams. I was chair at the time, and I did have some trepidation that we would lessen the importance of the regular season.

It's been a longer journey than for some of these guys, but what a thrill. I'm from a little town in New Hampshire. It's not that far from Springfield mileage-wise, but it's light years from shoveling snow in the driveway as a kid loving the game. All of a sudden I had an opportunity to play at the college level and coach and do other things. I just feel so privileged to be going into the Hall of Fame.

Its really a terrific thing for Providence College. On behalf of Providence College, for a small school, to have two of their fine alumni and their fine players having taken teams to the Final Four and coaching against each other, that's pretty neat.
