coach future hurt immediate impact might morris needed players robert smaller sure team
Robert Morris is a smaller team and we could have used John, but I needed to make sure all my players know that is not how we do things here. The immediate impact might hurt us, but as a coach you have to think about the future and that is what I am doing. It will hurt, though.
advantage attacked exploited hurt last lee morris robert strengths tony took weaknesses
Robert Morris exploited some of our weaknesses last time. They also took advantage of their strengths and really attacked us. (Sophomore guard) Tony Lee really hurt us.
cleared knee ready
He was cleared to go and I was getting ready to put him in and his knee was just too stiff.
arrived improvement shown since starting vast
He has shown vast improvement since he has arrived at Monmouth and I think we are starting to see the benefits.
gives
He gives us that one thing we have over Villanova.
takes
He does so many things, the big rebound, the right pass. He just does what it takes to win.
capable
We think he (Bunch) is capable of doing this every game.
april bunch decision goes good happen john light maybe player sees shape tunnel wants
If John Bunch is going to become a player, it's not going to happen overnight. It will happen between April and October. He's going to need to really work. He's going to need to get in shape and he's going to have to make a decision after this taste. Maybe he sees a light at the end of the tunnel and he goes after it and wants to become a player, because he could be a very good player if he does.
floor help worried
I'm not worried about where I'm going to play him. I'm going to play him. I'm going to put him on the floor and he's going to help us win.
career coming senior starting
He's starting to feel that senior year, season, and career coming to an end.
biggest boost drive gives literally man played seen teams turn
He's the biggest man I've ever seen in my life. He comes in and gives us a big boost off the bench. We've played teams where they'd literally drive in and turn around.
example hung opportunity perfect worked
He's a perfect example of perseverance. He just hung in there and got his opportunity and it worked out for him.
kept reminding shots start
I kept reminding him (Kenny) that if he didn't start making shots we wouldn't let him play.
coach defense sure
I'm sure their defense had a lot to do with our shooting, but when you are a coach you don't see it that way. You look at what you didn't do.
