couple hard looks mechanics mound takes
It's hard to tell off one session, but he looks a lot better. It usually takes him a couple mound sessions to get his mechanics straight.
believe delivery extra few longer mechanics parts pitchers point repeat seems tall took
I believe it does take tall pitchers longer to put it together. Look at Johnson. It took him a few extra years. The parts that go into the mechanics of a delivery are longer. It just seems to take a tall pitcher longer to get to that point where they can repeat their delivery.
ball fastball small worked
We worked on some very small things. We just went back to basics, worked on getting the ball down, better fastball command, fastballs down and away.

His stuff is as good as I've ever seen from him.

I guarantee you, he'll ask. He responds to the spotlight.
giving hardest needs player position weight whatever whether worker
He's the hardest worker I've ever seen, position player or pitcher. He's always giving it a little extra, whether it's running, work in the weight room, whatever he needs to do.
anybody command fantastic good leaving
In the bullpen, his command was as good as anybody we have. Leaving the bullpen, I thought he was going to have a fantastic game.
