anymore easier fighting great guys hard holding momentum neutral spirit stop tougher zone
It's great to see a fighting spirit in us and not quitting. It used to be a lot easier holding guys up in the neutral zone and making it a lot tougher for the other guys to come in to fore check. You can't do that anymore so once you get some momentum it's hard to stop it.
chance great
It's great to have a chance to go out the right way.
It's just one of those games, couldn't do anything right.
best difference good hard job neutral overall puck smart
It's a big difference in the standings between us and them. They are working really hard and I thought for the most part we did a good job. You try your best and they do everything to clog it up in the neutral zone. Overall though, I thought we did a pretty good job being smart and getting the puck by them and making them take some penalties.
good lost louis position seemed
It was something I shouldn't have done but it was just that I had such good position on St. Louis and there was no way I clutched him. It was frustrating because we were getting a lot of penalties, it seemed like, and I just lost it.
good
It was good to get the first one right away.
came strong
They came out strong in the third. It should have been the other way around.
against respect won
They've won it. We can play well against them, but, at the same time, we do respect them.
enjoy everybody experience fresh great last might older olympic opportunity playoff race start starts tournament
It's a fresh start for him. He doesn't have to think about the playoff race or anything. Everybody starts at zero. It's a great opportunity for us. We're getting older and it might be our last big tournament for our country. I think he's just going to enjoy the Olympic experience and make the most of the opportunity.
bad felt good start super team win
I told myself not to try to think about it too much. I felt not bad actually, not super but pretty good overall. It was a good win especially because we wanted to get off to a good start and this is a team we should beat.
fun hard knew lose ready time tonight tried
We tried hard today, there's no question. We knew there's not a lot of time between tonight and tomorrow. It's not fun to lose anytime, but we have to be ready for tomorrow.
believe chance exciting good knowing playoffs teams
We believe we have a good chance this year, and we're going to make the most of it. It's real exciting to be able to be part of the playoffs again, knowing that we're one of the teams that has a chance to go all the way.
bad caught ourselves playing puck turning
We started off not bad in the first but after that I don't know what we were doing. We kind of started playing by ourselves ... and we got caught turning the puck over way too many times and couldn't really find our game.
move puck skilled team tough
We're a very skilled team. When we move the puck the way we're capable, we're a tough team to play.
