advantage chance gave nice ourselves passing power took win
We took advantage of (a) power play we had at 5-on-3 and gave ourselves a chance to win with the nice passing play.
best keys missed obviously power
When he was out, you could really tell how much we missed him. He's one of the best defensemen in the world, I think, and probably very underrated. He jump-starts a lot of our offense, not just our power play, but obviously he's one of the keys on our power play as well.
cost simple tried
We've got to play smarter, there's no question. We tried to keep it simple in our own end and when we didn't, it cost us right away.
good question
He's a good goalie, there's no question about that.
break puck supporting turning
We couldn't even break out of our own end. We weren't supporting each other at all and we were turning the puck over way too many times.
definitely miss team thoughts tough work
We're definitely going to miss him. There's no question. But there's some things that are more important than hockey. He's going through some tough times and our thoughts are with him and his family, obviously. We'll just have to come through this as a team and work that much harder.
definitely miss thoughts time tough
We're definitely going to miss him. There are things that are more important than hockey. He's going through a tough time and our thoughts are with him.
adjustment creates game good learn total winning
You always learn from winning. Winning creates good habits. At the same time, it's a total different game over here than it is in the NHL. And it's going to be an adjustment going back to the NHL again.
chasing good
That's the way it is in this building. They're a good team. If you're not 100% ready, they'll have you chasing the puck. That's what happened.
calm great looked nervous played
He played great and he looked really calm in there, not nervous at all,
biggest game great obviously tone year
This is a great opportunity. We don't want to have to go back to Florida. We obviously know that this is the biggest game of the year for us and we want to go out there and set the tone right away.
ahead kept knew penalties puck time tired tough
You could tell how tired they were. They couldn't get anything going. We knew as long as we kept the puck ahead of us and didn't take any penalties then they would have a tough time scoring.
speak stanley win
I can only speak for myself, but the No. 1 thing for me is to win a Stanley Cup.
care nice proud
I couldn't care less. It'd be nice and something to be proud of, but for us it's all about the playoffs.
