thinking trouble boxes
When I start thinking in the batter's box, that's when I get into trouble.
decent good learned since spring week
I've come a long way since the first day I showed up here. Anything can happen. We'll find out in a week what's going on. I feel good about everything. I feel I've had a decent spring. I've learned a lot. I still have a lot more things to do. Spring is not over yet. I'd still like to see more pitches.
brings experience great intensity learning love watching
He's a great guy. I love learning from him and watching him. He brings a lot of intensity and experience to the clubhouse. I'd like to be a part of his enthusiasm.
fill fired halfway imagine
You can imagine if we could fill this place even halfway up how fired up we'd be.
slip tough
We let it slip away. Once again, another tough one.
both chemistry easier good outside understand
I've got good chemistry with both of them, Hanley and Robert. They are good guys. When you understand someone outside the field, that makes it easier to understand them on the field. I know how Andino plays. I know how Hanley plays, and how Amezaga plays. We all know what we like to do, so I think the chemistry is pretty good.
carried dreamed finally games glad hit luck six starting surreal time
It's something you've dreamed about for a long time and it finally happened. It's kind of surreal but I'm glad it finally did happen. Six games in I was starting to get a little worried. I was just glad it carried over. With my luck I thought it would hit the wall.
baby fun home seen
It's always fun being on the road, but I have a little baby to get home to that I've only seen once.
ball baseman bases extra few gear gone highest kicked sure third time watch
I try to get extra bases on anything. That's a play I've done a few times in the past. Any time you see the third baseman going all out for the ball -- I was gone from the get-go. You had to watch him to make sure he made the throw. Once he made the throw, I just kicked it in to the highest gear I have.
couple fall stay-positive
The first couple months, I was hitting the ball hard but had some awful, awful luck. You stay positive, keep grinding out some at-bats, get a couple to fall through, get a little confidence going and keep going from there.
running team trying
Any way I can produce runs and keep runs off the board for the other team, that's what I'm going to try to do.
hitting defense very-good
If you let your hitting bother your defense, you are not going to be very good.
real opportunity player
Every player feels like they can play at this level. Not every player gets an opportunity. I was fortunate to get an opportunity. Everything's kind of worked out real well.
play hitting littles
All the stuff about who's hitting behind you and who's hitting in front of you-it plays a little bit of a part. But you can't just base your approach off that because you'll end up getting beat in the end.
