build confidence finally leagues learn oh success
Oh yeah, I have a lot more confidence in myself. With everything I've been through to get to the big leagues finally and play and have the little success, it wasn't a lot of success, but I did have some success up there. I learn from it and build on it. I can't tell myself, 'Well, I don't know if I can play up there,' because I already showed it.
door knocking superstar whatever
I'm no superstar on anybody's team, but I'm still knocking on the door hard. Whatever they do with me, they do with me. This is where I belong. That's how I feel inside.
bust learned
You got to bust your tail, because the one thing I learned is that in this game, they're not going to give you nothing.
last tie
Oh, dude, it can tie you up in knots. I did that last year.
few hoping needed scratched
Definitely. I was hoping right there that we could get something going, and we did. We scratched out a run. We just needed to scratch out a few more.
safety
You never know what it's going to be, a bunt, a safety squeeze.
eating hard pays running work
It's like whoa, this is what you want to be doing. This is why you put in all the hard work. Why am I doing this? Why am I eating so healthy? Why am I running so much? This is why. All this hard work pays off. It really pays off.
ball drive guys hit hurts leave lock position rest runner scoring team third
It's frustrating for me and the rest of the team to leave guys in scoring position that many times. It's different with a runner on third and two outs, that just hurts your heart. You want to drive in a run. With a runner on second, you know you need a hit and you just want to lock in and hit the ball hard.
belong guy improve major plenty room work
For a guy like myself, I know there's plenty of room for me to improve and there are a lot of things to work on. But I think I showed I do belong in the Major Leagues.
caught coming depth earlier hands hard hoped judge next sky smash wall
I just hoped I didn't smash into that wall like I did earlier in the year, and just went on and caught the ball. Coming off that sky and the lights, it's hard to judge the depth of it. I got up on it, and next thing you know I put just my hands up and it went into my glove.
We just weren't able to get the big hit.
bad ball beginning chasing fly goes guy happens luck since
We've just been having bad luck since the beginning of the season. It's just one of those things, what can you do? A guy goes down chasing a fly ball. Another guy fouls a ball off his foot. It's just one of those things that happens in baseball.
brunt couple good guy night somebody stand
With our lineup, there's going to be somebody new every night to get a couple of big hits. We don't have one guy who's going to stand out and take the brunt of it. We're just scrappy, and I think that's a good thing.
defense game lights pitch rest
I got a pitch I could handle. The rest of the game was lights out for the defense and the pitching.
