In the fifth inning I thought I got more comfortable. I didn't throw my first split until the ninth hitter of the game, which is not something that happens to me a lot. I only think I threw three in the first four innings. A lot of that was confidence. I didn't feel real comfortable with it.
I don't think any of my questions will really get answered until the season starts. I want to believe that physically I am where I was -- or better.
I'm nervous, anxious. It's been two years since I've been the guy I was. Until I do what I did before, there's a lot of questions.
I'm throwing my changeup to the point where I'm going to be able to use it now to get people out. It's something I've wanted to have and never been comfortable with until now.
We won a lot more games than we lost when I was down there, and that was the goal, ... I went down there to try and help seal a leak and patch a hole. I'd like to think I did that for the most part. I mean, I certainly didn't pitch as well as I would have liked, but we played well and won games while I was down there.
I used all my pitches like I did as a starter and we located well. I had good command and I pitched.
Everything is normal. And I guess I'm making normal seem really damn exciting right now, but after last year, normal is a really cool thing for me.
