Groff kept making good pitches to get out of jams, and we made some good defensive plays to help her out. She's the kind of a pitcher who can get herself out of a jam with one pitch because she gets so many ground balls, and we're going to turn two when you hit one at somebody.

The first game, (Phoenix) had all the chances and didn't take advantage, and we got the clutch hits. It's good to play tight games, and obviously it's better to win them, but it's tough to beat a quality team when you give up that many chances.

If we hold teams to one run, I've got to like our chances. Our pitchers were outstanding. They were around the (strike) zone all day long.
