Losing is hard. I think he got a little frustrated with it. He put a lot of pressure on himself to produce. He's made some changes here. I feel the program is headed in a good direction.

We don't make too many errors. Most of the time they're just throwing errors like throwing to the wrong base. That's what happens when people run on you. Sometimes errors are caused by throwing the ball too much.

Both teams hung in there. I admire River Ridge. They battled and didn't give up. It was a well-played softball game with a lot of defensive plays on both sides.

It's an honor not only for him but for the school to have a state champion. He's got a lot of potential. I hope he takes advantage of it.

We're going to lose a lot when we lose them all. We've been trying to get as much experience for our younger girls as we can. We have a couple of girls that will be ready to step in, but we're certainly taking a step back when we lose them.

At first I wanted to know what she was doing swinging at a 3-0 pitch. But, she won the game for us, so it's kind of hard to fuss at her.
advance district finals goal last tougher year
Your goal is to make the finals so you can advance to the playoffs. Nothing's for sure. It's a tougher district this year than it was last year.
