class field heck last rookie series strongest
It's the strongest rookie field the series has ever had. It's a heck of a class. The neatest thing is most of us were in the Busch series last year, so we all know each other.
couple direction fighting last looking pendulum races ride safely second swung wild
It has been a wild ride these last couple of weeks. Not that many races ago we were safely in second place and Truex Jr. was looking like he was going to take this thing without a fight. Fortunately the pendulum swung in our direction and we are right back fighting for the championship.
cost couple earlier five good jumps last talk wins worked
Restarts earlier this season, do we have to talk about them? I cost us a couple of wins on restarts this year, ... That's something I've really worked on this year, and it showed today. I got good jumps especially the last five times.
battle bottom cool guys last line martin rookie shoe year
If Martin has the equipment, he's going to be there. The bottom line is every one of those guys can take away the rookie of the year honors. It would be pretty cool to come down to the end of the year in a battle with Martin like it was last year and have that shoe on the other foot.

By no means am I going to count us out of this championship. This championship hunt isn't over until the last race in Homestead.

I knew this AC Delco Chevy was really good in race runs. The guys had a good stop there on that last stop and got us a chance. What a good effort.

We just got loose over there off turn two, and I got sideways, but Kyle pretty much drove through me. What goes around comes around.

I started out tight. Everyone was fighting tight. For whatever reason, it wouldn't run on the bottom. If we kept it wound up on the high side, she'd go.
chance crew gives hit session test three
These, ... are real important. It gives us a chance to do things we want to try. Every once in a while you will hit on something at a test session that gives you a big gain. My guys, Gil (Martin, his crew chief) always come out with a gain. Two or three things usually.
consistency fare good race second time tough
Consistency is still going to play out in the end. Dover is a tough race track. It's my second time being here. We didn't fare too well in the spring, but we've reacted pretty good. We've bounced back, and I think the car's pretty good this weekend.
deserve hard lose work
That's unfortunate for those guys. They don't deserve that. They work too hard to lose like that.

I wish it looked more like a car. But NASCAR has done their homework on it, and it doesn't look like we got much of a choice.
qualify win
You just go out and try to win the race, ... We'll just try not to qualify 30th anymore. I'm over that.
