against awhile beat hard last remember took tough until win
We had them beat last year, and we let it get away in the end. It's never over until it's over, especially against them, and we've got to remember that and play as hard as we can and go out there and win this one. That was a tough loss, man. It took awhile to get over that.
guy knew needs second stayed step talent time
The second time I just stayed up on my guy because I knew with Santana's talent all he needs is a step and he can take it to the house.
caught cleaned confidence faces felt fight guys helped looked until whistle
Santana, he sparked it, once he caught those two passes. That helped our confidence level. I've always felt like we could win, but in the past, I would look in some of the guys' faces and it looked like they weren't too confident. We've cleaned those guys out of here and we've got some guys who'll fight until the whistle blows. We feel like we can't be beat.
great handling position season since
I've never been in a position like this since being with the Redskins. Since I've been here, we really haven't had a really great season yet. This year, though, I think we're handling it well.
cleaned faces felt fight guys looked past until whistle
I've always felt like we could win, ... but in the past I've looked in some of the guys' faces and it looked like they weren't too confident. We cleaned those guys up out of here, and we have some guys who are going to fight until the whistle blows.
confidence great led people poise proud stepped took tried
I was proud of Patrick. He took us down on a great drive. A lot of people tried to get down on him early, with the interception, but he showed a lot of poise and a lot of confidence and stepped up and led the offense.
blew changed focused line
We focused up, changed some things in our line play and blew them off the ball.
beat continue definitely expect good guys room taking turns
We've done good things, but we definitely have room for improvement. Guys taking turns getting beat -- we can't continue to do that if we expect to be as good as we want to be.
ball everybody halftime heart ourselves played season threw
We threw the ball away with a lot of turnovers, and that's been killing us all season long. At halftime I just told the guys, we got ourselves into this mess, let's get ourselves out. Everybody went out and played with a lot of heart and passion. We just got it done. I'm happy.
block defensive ends hard imagine jon
I can't imagine doing what Jon had to do this year. It's hard enough to block defensive ends when you can use your hands. I don't know how he did it.
best bit eyes frustrated
Frustrated and guessing. A little bit of both. You can just look in their eyes a lot of times. You can tell when you're getting the best of them.
attitude bothering positive
You can tell it's bothering him a little bit. But he has a positive attitude about things because we're 3-2.
aspect earned establish teams tough
It's tough to establish yourself in that way because teams have so many different personalities. But Jon's earned everyone's respect, which is the most important aspect of being a leader.
again ball coaches continued entire game great ground guys job line move physical putting smash time
That's our style, being physical up front, smash it in there, and play great defense. Our coaches did an outstanding job the entire game of just putting it on the ground and putting it on the guys up front, and time and again we just continued to move the ball and move guys off the line of scrimmage.
