I think it was a very good time and it was a nice job by our kids. They're all underclassmen. There's three sophomores and a junior there, and that's what's exciting about it. They're starting to figure some things out.

That's an event that I think we can consistently get three people to medal.

Our defense let down. We just did not have that same intensity or same energy that we had. For about 2 1/2 minutes there they made a run and we did not answer at the offensive end.
boys good individual meet pleased team
We had a lot of good individual performances on the boys side, but those don't always show up in the team standings at a meet like this. I was very pleased with our kids.

That was the thing we were looking to do was give him the opportunity to get a nice time. I think the biggest thing is he knows he can still go faster ... and the nice thing about it is he ran it with fresh legs.

I was very pleased with her effort and the way she's competing now. She's got that confidence.

It forces kids to immediately be competitive and forces them to know that we can't just be satisfied with a sixth-place finish. We need to try to get that fourth-place finish or that third-place finish.

I think she feels comfortable in that role of being one of our go-to girls in terms of scoring points. She had some success last year. She got down to state, and that gave her a taste of what's to come. I think she's got maybe some higher expectations of herself this year.

It allowed us to kind of regroup and slow their momentum down. It wasn't like we were going to stall for the next 11 minutes. It was just a matter of us regrouping and it was like a really long timeout.

I thought he had a tremendous day and that's what we've been building toward. He's been working really hard and it's starting to pay off for him.

She's starting to finally get healthy for us here ... and I'm extremely pleased with her performances.

Tonight was night for us to play with a little emotion, and I thought our kids did a great job doing that. On the defensive end, especially, we came out with some emotion.

We had a hard time scoring besides Wes tonight. We didn't get much out of everybody else. They just swallow you up. They just really put the clamps on everybody else.
