We played really good defense the whole game. In the fourth quarter they kept chipping away, we just had to buckle down.

Our defense did a very good job today. We had the game we lost to Northeast and we were just out of it. Tonight the girls knew they really had to work.

On the defensive end we really have to pick it up. Waverly is pretty big and we had to match up with their size. I believe Meredith did a good job of playing Rachel Sheppard despite being a couple of inches shorter. It was a good team effort defensively.

That's going to be a confidence booster for the girls. We know they can play with anyone. Once they get the confidence to know they can win every game they play then we'll be OK.

We've got to work on our foul shots. I told the kids we need to be about 70 percent from the line and we are still shooting 50 percent. That can hurt you in games like this.

In order to win games you have to rebound and you have to play defense. Rebounding is something we've done in all our games and we did a good job today. The defense comes from the heart and we played well tonight.

All you can ask is that the kids play hard and play a good defensive game. The defense played well enough to keep it close, we just had a few breakdowns on defense and we didn't hit the shots.
