best control defensive effort except played quarter start stretch third
Except for a four-minute stretch to start the third quarter we played exceptionally well. It was our best defensive effort and we were under control on offense.
bump strong team
We're not a strong team (physically). They do bump us off the ball.
athletic best care medium people picked player teams wing
If we can take care of business, we'll be part of the mix. Windham is very athletic and has the best wing player in the Medium in Jovan Williams. Most people picked Windham and Waterford as the teams to beat, but we want to be part of the discussion.
cut free hit kevin left seconds shot start three throws
We were down two to start the overtime, but Kevin hit some free throws and we went up five. They hit a shot with three seconds left to cut it to three.
careless selection shot
We were careless with the ball. Our shot selection was bad.
develop good minutes starting
We're getting good minutes from the sophomores. They're starting to develop and get stronger.
guards stay three
We did that because they have three guards that like to go to the basket. We wanted them to stay outside.
ball finished foul job nice player strong tap took
He did a nice job down the stretch. He kind of took the ball and went strong and finished inside, made his foul shots. When you've got a player like that, there's not much you can do. You tap him on the back. He did a nice job.
good played shots
In the first half, we played exceptionally well offensively. We were getting good shots and we were very patient.
against almost corey excellent finish games guys kid last power presence size smaller
If Corey has a smaller kid on him, he has the power and footwork to finish almost at will. In the last two games he was excellent around the basket. Now he's got to show the same presence against guys his size or bigger.
against basketball bit definitely efficient good improve incredibly kevin playing shooting similar surprised unless
I'm surprised at how efficient Kevin is playing as a sophomore. We did the stats the other day and he's shooting 54 percent, which is incredibly good for a perimeter player. His AAU experienced has definitely helped. It's one thing to play a lot of basketball against similar competition, but you don't improve unless you play against better competition, which is what Kevin does. He earns every bit of what he gets.
