There's probably a half-dozen to a dozen guys who usually don't play the week before a major who are playing this week because of where it is. It's a great test for next week.

Believe it or not, I thought I was going to win. There was one guy tied with me and they had 16, 17 and 18 left. Those holes were playing brutal. Tiger made a birdie on 16 with a 7-iron to a pin tucked behind the water.

What can you say when the greatest player in the world puts his trust in you like that? I don't know how to explain it. I just know that my caddie said before I hit my putt, that 'It's the moment you've been waiting for your whole life, so go ahead and do it.' I did it for 13 other guys and Mr. Nicklaus. It's unbelievable.

There might be guys that are better than me, but as far as competitiveness and never giving up and always fighting and clawing, I don't think there's too many guys that have that.

The one thing he has that nobody else has -- maybe Nicklaus had this a little bit, too -- is the uncanny ability to win by whatever he needs to win by. If nobody is doing anything, then he won't do anything. He'll just kind of plug along. But if guys are making birdies, then he'll try to make birdies. That's what's amazing about him. If he needs 73 to win, he'll shoot 73. If somebody shoots 64, he'll shoot 65 to win by a shot.

I like my chances, because I know how competitive I am. I love match play. It's going to be hard to play somebody as competitive as me. There might be guys better than me, but as far as as never giving up and always fighting and clawing, I don't think too many guys have that.

We hung in there. We grinded one out and got a half a point, ... That feels like a win, being 2 down with four to go.

Courses are not getting any shorter. I could not hit the ball an average of 279, 280 (yards) and compete out here still. I needed to get eight to 10 more yards somehow. It makes a big difference.

Bridesmaid is getting old, I can promise you that, especially when I've played good enough to get there and not gotten it. This one really kind of pisses me off for lack of a better word. This is good. Maybe it'll light a fire under me.

Everybody thinks the Americans don't care, ... I can promise you that's not true at all. We care a lot and this is big. We wanted this bad. We wanted this for (captain Jack) Nicklaus.
