Small things are adding up. We're having several good innings but we're letting one inning get us in a hole we can't get out of. If we can solve that, we'll be in good shape.

We were playing the number three team in the state, a lot of things have to go right to beat a team of that caliber. They came out and scored runs. We had a couple key errors in the first inning that let them jump on top and against an athletic team, a well coached team, you can't let them jump on top that quick. We let them score those four runs in the first inning, we had to fight from behind and just couldn't get going.

We went 1-for-5 with four strikeouts when we had runners in scoring position. That's not giving ourselves a chance. I know we can do it, it's just a matter of doing it.

We've got Alexander Central on Tuesday, Hickory on Wednesday in the makeup game, and McDowell on Friday. We'll take them one at a time, and try to get better.

We let a very talented team jump on us quick. The bright side is, we could've folded, but we scored and took them the full seven (innings). I'm satisfied with our effort.

We brought in Donovan to catch for six innings, and he hasn't caught since he was eleven years old. But he did a great job out there.

We're not giving up. I've got a good group of guys, and we're going to work hard, practice, and get back on the right track.
