I felt physically OK, ... I fell behind some hitters, and that usually is a recipe for giving up some runs.

I didn't have good command of my pitches. I wanted to pound the strike zone and I go 2-0 to the first guy. But it doesn't mean anything. Physically, no pain no problem. That was the biggest thing.

When you give up and lay one in there is when you get hurt the most, ... It just so happens I was able to make pitches when it counted.

There is no substitute for facing live pitching. When you go against the machine or the coaches, it's just not the same.

It's the same with the Latin guys. It's always nice when someone speaks your native language, and you get to know guys a lot better.

It's nice that we're going home. This was a terrible series for us all around. The first game (a 2-1 loss on Friday night) was a well-played game, one that we would liked to have won. Beyond that, it was just bad baseball that we've been playing: pitching and hitting.

It seems like we've been scoring a lot of runs in my starts. Even when I haven't pitched well, we've been able to find ways to win.

I was just so proud of how the team battled, really unbelievable. I didn't pitch well, but I can't feel bad the way the team played behind me and the bullpen came in and shut the door.

After the sixth inning I was overwhelmed on the bench, just so proud of how everyone played. It was so impressive.
