I had a turnover and three missed shots down the stretch. I just have to make sure I calm my nerves.
We were just watching him shoot. He takes the type of shots where you don't think they're going in, but suddenly he's rolling, so he's kind of hard to stop. We tried three or four guys on him, but it seemed like nobody guarded him tonight.
He's a threat, he can play. His success has helped us as a team. He's been getting in the paint, he's been getting guys a lot of wide-open shots and he's been getting easy buckets. He can shoot the three and he doesn't take many bad shots, so when you have a point guard who can do all those things and create on the offensive side you can do a lot of things.
We just got steamrolled. I don't think it's a step back because it's not like we played to the best of our abilities. We got beat by 20. We know what we didn't do.
We were panicking a little bit too much, some guys were looking like they didn't know what was going on. Thank god we won.
People support their country here a lot, and being in a diverse city, I expect it.
Sometimes when I have a 1-on-1 advantage and teams don't do a good job of either doubling or clogging the paint, that works to my advantage.
Every team goes through changes. It's up to us as players to put that aside and just play. It's hard to see positives getting beat by 20, plain and simple.
We should have better prepared ourselves mentally. We weren't ready for it and by the time we realized it, it was too late.
We finally get it to six and we stop doing those things sometimes. I can't explain it and it comes with experience. We keep seeing what (bad) happens when we try to it another way. We have to learn.
That's what I think the move is for, for future references. If we have space to sign guys, that would be a plus.
That's what I'm trying to see, we're trying to wait for the smoke to clear, and see the product from all of this.
I won't let that spook me too much. I know I can make that. I can shoot high percentage from there.
I think coach knows I can make plays. He wanted to get me over the hump with plays like that because we play of lot of games where we're in that situation.
