blocked prize saying
What are we doing (getting) a consolation prize for saying we blocked better than the other guys? Yippee,
calls coach comment determined good plays
The way he calls plays differently or what can be expected, I can't comment on that. That will all be determined real soon. I just know coach Pendry is a good coach.
cancel game
You have to do what you have to do, ... They aren't going to cancel the game just because of an injury.
amount best coach felt
But at the same time, I've been with coach Capers the same amount of time, and all he's wanted is what he felt is best for his team.
anybody biggest good matter plays sloppy
If we do things right we're just as good as anybody in the NFL. But when we don't do things right, we can look sloppy and ugly. So the biggest thing for us is doing things right play in and play out no matter how many plays we have out there.
coach love talk
I love coach Capers. He's the only coach I've ever known, but I like him, especially this season. He hasn't been just a coach. If you had something going on away from football, you could go and talk to him as a friend.
anyone fantastic great guys looked sold until
There are a lot of guys that have looked fantastic and done a great job, but I'm not sold on anyone until they do it at this level.
decent diego dreams football might player pro san state walked wildest
When I went to San Diego State (and walked on to the football program), never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I might be a pro football player and become pretty decent at it. Now, here I am ... I just feel so much joy.
dug hole
It stinks, ... We've dug a hole. No one else dug this hole for us.
born defense extra four hopefully knew last meeting minutes
It's kind of like being the first born now. The last four years, the defense was the first born. If we'd get out of a meeting 10 minutes early, the defense was going to know about it before us. All the little things, the defense knew first. Hopefully now with an offensive-minded coach, we get some of those extra advantages.
applies saying situation
We have a saying, and it applies to the situation now. That saying is, 'Don't let go of the rope,'
exciting time
This is an exciting time for me and the Texans,
coach palmer
Coach Palmer is what you could say was 'my guy,'
asking face good last supposed wrong
He's asking good questions, and when he makes a mistake, he realizes it immediately. When something went wrong last year, he'd get a look on his face that said, What am I supposed to be doing?
