Chauncey Ray Billupsis an American retired professional basketball player who played 17 seasons in the National Basketball Association. A star at the University of Colorado, he was selected third overall in the 1997 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics. A five-time NBA All-Star and a three-time All-NBA selection, Billups played for the Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks, and Los Angeles Clippers during his NBA career. He has a chance to maybe be the best ever to lace them up. At 21 years old right now, and doing what he's doing ... I mean, the kid should be a junior in college.

I remember before I left we had the program really rocking. It was loud when there was a lot of kids in the building. When you've got kids in there it makes it extra loud. Even if it's not filled to capacity, it feels like it because they're just so excited to be there. So, I thought what better way to try to help Coach Patton and the program out than to have lots of kids in the building?
It means a lot to me, because I saw what everyone wrote about me that I was a bust. It feels good right now to have people look at me and say that kid has come a long way and he's really worked on his game.
It's unbelievable how far along that kid is. I've never seen nothing like that before in my life. He's really got a gift. He's got a gift, and he's using it very well. He's very graceful. I love watching him.
When you have to take the ball out, you can't run. This last couple of weeks our defense hasn't been the same. When you have to take that ball out, you can't get transition baskets.
