We came into this game very focused, trying to get back on the right track. We knew we let one get away last night and it wasn't our best (performance).
We came into this game really focused on what we needed to do, making some adjustments. That team just fought. They just fought. You have to give them a lot of credit, but come fourth quarter . . . we just had to grind it out.
That was typical Pistons' basketball. We got what we wanted and tightened up on our defense, started taking some things away from them and the ball started going in. We just sort of willed our way.
That was a lot of fun playing in this building. It's been a long time since we had that college-game feeling.
That was a good win. We had a big win (Tuesday night against Dallas) with a lot of emotion and we were able to push that all aside and focus on this one. That was good by us.
That was one of our goals. That and trying to get home court all the way through. So it was important.
That was kind of fun. It was a high-tempo shootout until the end. Our offense is good, and we have some great offensive players, but defense is still what we do.
That's what a great team is all about. When somebody is struggling, somebody else is picking up the slack, and we've done that time and time out.
That's us. We're never rattled. Even when we were down, we're never rattled, and we just keep our composure. That's why we're so good in those tough, grind-it-out situations.
That's the way we play. We got so many options, so many guys who can hurt you.
That says a lot. That's always your first goal every season to try and get the highest seed you can for the playoffs.
Lindsey gave us an unbelievable lift. It was great to get that rest. It allowed us to get back fresh to finish out the game.
Like I've been telling him, when they page you, you'd better be ready to pick up and answer. Right now, he's going to get that page.
It feels great to get some rest. We worked hard for that and we're going to cherish that right now, even if that means losing a few games, you know what I'm saying? We're all trying to get rest and the guys that are out there are trying to stay healthy more than anything. I mean, so what? We did what we've had to do so far.
