There was times I was frustrated and I wanted to sound off, but I wouldn't do it. There's a right way to do it. Me and Larry had our conversations where I voiced my opinions and he did, too. And after, we walked out and that was just it. I got it off my chest, he got it off his chest. It was over.
There were times I was frustrated and wanted to sound off, but I wouldn't do it. I don't think it's the right way to do it.
They played with so much confidence. They showed how great they can be.
This is a team that, right now, looks like we will be playing in the first round. They are a difficult team. They have guys that can get going. Of course they have Allen Iverson, who is probably the best scorer over the past 10 years of this league.
Strange as it sounds, we get bored sometimes being able to win so many games so easily. It's not something that should happen, but it's what did happen.
Now he knows what it will be like to come into this building. It's going to be long nights for him. That's how it is when you play against us.
Once we got to that fourth quarter, we just decided we were going to have to grind it out. We've been through this before, man. We know how to handle these situations.
No question, that's what it's all about, letting the young boys shine.
This is a game we had chances to win. I thought our defense was really good tonight. When the defense is bad, I'm concerned. When our offense just isn't making shots - that happens.
They're the best team in the world. They got the best player in college in Reggie Bush . They got two Heisman winners. They got my cousin. I mean, they're going for a third straight championship, and no one's ever done that.
I thought they never were going to miss. We weren't making anything early.
I think we'll be a lot better offensively. Defensively, we could be as good. But when you play a faster-paced game, naturally, that other team is going to score a couple more points.
I think we'll be a little bit more up-tempo,
I think that for whatever reason we think that we can coast to the finish line, and not do what we have done all season. We are getting away from what we do, and guys are looking too far ahead to the playoffs. We have to do the things that we have always done. Teams aren't just going to lay down for us.
