films powerful proven year
This year has proven to make those kind of films you don't need to make them feel like medicine, you can make them powerful and still entertaining.
years careers ideas
I love the idea of longevity in this career. But [producing] is not about, "Let me do this because this might happen 20 years down the line." Sleepwalking wasn't a vehicle for me, it was a film that pushed the envelope. I want to produce good stories, versus creating a niche where I can look after myself as an actor.
years whole-year whole
I was going to go to Macchu Picchu and then I just ended up working the whole year.
jobs years bigs
If I knew that 3D was going to be such a big deal, I would have gotten that boob job 10 years ago.
good-friend thinking years
've had good friends who got married after they've been together for years and they've said that it was the "next step" for them. Or, they've said, "You just can't bail out anymore." And I've wondered, What made you think you could just bail out before [the wedding]? You don't invest that kind of time and energy with somebody and then just go, "All right, see you later."
filmmakers job movies proven reflect taste year
It's our job as filmmakers to reflect the world right now, and this year has proven that you can make these movies and make them not taste like medicine.
change changing law laws people realized takes
We've come a long way, and changing a law is really important. What I've realized is laws change, but you also have to change how people think. And that takes time.
girl
Besides, ... Im not a big pampering girl anyway.
control emphasis lose supposed track work
You can't control those things. When they happen, it's great, but if you put too much emphasis on that, you lose track of what you're supposed to be doing and the work itself.
experience female flawed genre hero kinds liked natural perfect
But my natural inkling isn't really to go do those kinds of films, so I really wanted to go experience that and see what is interesting in that genre and what to do with it and come up with a female hero that wasn't the perfect heroine. She was very flawed and very dark. I liked that a lot about her.
dinner ice trusting
We'd have dinner with them. We'd bowl, we went snowmobiling and ice fishing. And they started trusting us. They really wanted us to tell the story right.
challenge life
I think in life we want to challenge ourselves.
happiness people
I'm happy for people who want to get married. It's not my thing.
ballet body came consider fake learn learned skills stories
I come from a ballet background; I did ballet for 12 years and I consider that my theater. I told stories with my body for 12 years and then came into this industry. I couldn't let go of that and it's still important to me. I really wanted to learn the skills of what Aeon had. I wanted to learn gymnastics; I didn't want to just be on wires and fake everything. I learned some skills I never thought I would learn.
