guru lucky tony
That's Tony Clark. If there's anything you need, you go to him. He is like a guru around here. We're lucky to have him.
capable groove playing waited
We just waited a little too long to get in our groove and play like we were capable of playing all year,
miracles seen six
I've seen miracles happen. We're going to play these six and see what happens. That's all you can do.
barrel tried
It was a little cutter that was up and out over the plate. I just tried to get the barrel on it and put it into play.
division ends game happened lay miracles
Right now we're going to play every game out and we'll see how the division ends up at the end, ... We're not going to lay down for anybody. We're still not mathematically out of it, and miracles have happened before.
corner either maybe positions
Either one of those corner infield positions is where I'm most comfortable, ... Eventually, maybe I'll be that comfortable in the outfield.
drive hard hit line
Yeah, it is frustrating. But it wasn't anything we could control. Couns hit a hard line drive right back up the middle.
average batting dictate good hit swings trying
I tell myself every night, 'The season's not over. You've got to battle,' ... You can't dictate how many RBIs you get from where you hit in the lineup, usually. But you can dictate the batting average by just having good at-bats and trying to put good swings on it.

care coming decent outfield prepare spring training work
I don't care if it's the outfield or the infield, ... as long as I know what to prepare for. I can make myself a decent outfielder. I can already play the infield. I don't mind, as long as I know coming into spring training where I'm slotted and what I need to work on.
goes main miss needs outfield pick positions slide somebody strength three valuable
Right now, his main strength is he can play all three infield positions and two outfield positions. That's what's going to make him valuable to our team. If somebody needs a day off or goes down, he can slide right in there, pick up some at-bats and not miss a beat.
defense helping messed offense playing separate start team tough trying
Right now, I just have to separate my offense and my defense so you don't take the uncomfortableness you feel on defense out to the plate, because then I'm not helping the team at all. It's like two separate games. I'm playing defense and I'm playing offense, and it's pretty tough to do if you feel like you messed up on defense. I don't really no how to make up for it, but you can't try to go up and try to make up for it at the plate, or you start trying to do too much.
arms barrel good happen hitting looking
I had two strikes, and I'm just looking to get the barrel on it and make something happen. I was able to get my arms extended, and good things happen when you put yourself in a good hitting position.
face nice
It was nice to face him. We will be doing this for a lot of years.
