extremely players pleased putting team
I'm extremely pleased with the victory. I think it showed the kind of team we are. We don't have just one or two players putting up points.
coming confident continued players plug
The players were confident coming into today's game. They continued to plug along.
ball defense defensive game games keeps played players rhythm type wins
The players first said how embarrassed they were with the type of defensive game they played tonight. Our defense keeps us in games and wins us ball games, keeps us close. We just got out of a rhythm from the start.
days finish forward fresh instead looking players ready regular season teams
Our players are looking forward to a fresh start. We didn't finish the regular season the way we would have liked, but after 10 days off we're ready to play other teams instead of ourselves.
common players seeing strength stressed
I think it will become more common because players are getting more athletic. I think you're seeing strength and conditioning stressed more. Will it be as common as the men's game? No. But it will be more common.
smarter win
I know they feel they can play with those teams, and I think they really feel like they can win them. We just have to be smarter at the end.
continue great seniors sweet tradition
It was a great win. Our seniors wanted to continue this tradition of going to the Sweet 16 and it showed out there on the court.
best bigger focus good guard hard hopefully
It's hard not to focus on Jess because you've got to neutralize her as best you can. At the same time, they've got good guard play. You can't take away everything, so hopefully you take away the bigger parts.
confidence continue gives home nice race road versus win
It was nice to get the home win versus Virginia, and now our first ACC road game, it gives us confidence to get back into the race and continue on our roll.
execution five heard lost worked
That's all we heard is we lost five in a row. All we worked on was our execution on defense.
aggressive hard passes slapping smarter talked
We talked about it at the half, that we had too many turnovers, that we need to be smarter with the ball. Not to be cautious, but be smarter with our passes and come hard to the ball. There's going to be a lot of slapping and reaching, some of it may be called or not be called, but we had to be more aggressive with the ball.
conference ready tough whatever
We just had a tough schedule. What we went through in our conference made us ready for whatever was going to come.
certainly
We certainly want to play in Boston. But right now, it's New Mexico.
basket best career game hunger number
What number was she? No, I'm kidding. She's outstanding. I don't know if that was the best game of her career or not, but I think she had that hunger to get the basket and score.
