confident everybody job
It's not going to take some super-human effort. Obviously, everybody has to do their job. I'm confident in our defense, and, if we play the way we can, we can get the job done. We don't have to have one person do something extraordinary.
talk
They can talk about that all they want, but they still haven't really done anything.
came taking
It just wasn't us out there. We came out flat. Everything we did in this game, we did to ourselves. I'm not taking anything away from Detroit, but we made a lot of mistakes.
hard helping main seeing team
It's hard seeing your team out there, especially when your team is doing good. You want to be out there helping them. That's the main thing. You want to play so bad, you feel you let them down.
playing super
We're playing in the Super Bowl, so how can we have a letdown? I can't see how that can happen.
built nose tackle type
To be a nose tackle and to play in this defense, you couldn't want anything else. I'm built for this type of defense.
against ball game nickel played ran
We played a lot of nickel in that game and they ran the ball very well against our nickel defense. That's what they do ? they get you out of what you're used to doing.
bread defense run stop
Our run defense is our bread and butter, ... That's what we do: Stop the run. I think we're getting right where we need to be, at the right time.
body hit leg playing until
A lot of times you can end up playing on one leg and hopping around out there until you get confident. You can always tell yourself it's good, but your body doesn't let you go full-tilt at first. You've got to get hit on it or you've got to get used to being out there again.
This is the place I want to be.
coach denver good kept teaches technique
Denver kind of kept the same thing going. He's a good coach who teaches the right techniques, so you've got to kind of have good technique to do it.
anywhere care coach football takes
Coach (Bill) Cowher takes care of us. This is a football city. You wouldn't want to play anywhere else.
career support team type
Jerome's our guy. It wasn't even his idea to do it. We support Jerome, and we did all we could to get him back to end his career here. That's the type of team we have. We're very close. There's no 'me guys' on the team. We all support each other.
highly joking matter obviously people teammates
I was joking with Hines about that. I was like, 'Man, this is kind of like a consolation prize. With the MVP, it doesn't really matter what people think of you on other teams, it's about what your teammates think of you, and obviously our teammates think very highly of us.
