demands either gets great job passing people reading situation
He is the most effective, not when he's scoring, but when he gets other people involved. He demands a double-team every night. He did a great job of reading the situation and either going to the rim or passing it off. He's a superstar.
best contact finding finish league players
He is one of the best players in the league and he is only 24. That's scary. The way he absorbs the contact going to the rim, and then finding a way to finish is unbelievable.
accepted chance everybody experience gave grateful great miss opportunity turned
He gave me an opportunity when everybody turned their back on me. He gave me a chance to come to school. He accepted me into his family. It was a great experience for me at UConn and I am grateful to him for that. I wouldn't miss this for anything.
attacking everybody finding fun knew looks vocal
He looks great. He's attacking and getting to the basket, which is something everybody knew he could do. He's having fun out there and he's being a vocal leader. You can see him finding his place.
came good hurt losing maybe opportunity win
I just wanted to win the game. It hurt losing to them out there like that. It was an opportunity for us to get a win, and we came up short, so it's good to get a win here. Maybe we can get something started from it.
adversity beautiful chemistry coming early seeing starting starts winning
I just think that chemistry is always big, and once chemistry starts coming together, it's a beautiful thing. Now you're seeing it. We went through a lot of adversity after winning early on, and now we're starting to roll.
bringing brought plan tough toughness
I'm a tough dude, and I plan on bringing toughness to the table. (I'm) tough-minded, tough-willed. That's how I was brought up.
closes fourth game stars
In the fourth quarter, he does what he does best, he closes the game out. That's what stars do.
asked bench coach felt injury needed obviously opportunity stretch win
If Coach needed me to come off the bench to be successful, I was going to do that. Obviously we went through a stretch in which we didn't win games, and with the injury to Jarvis Hayes, he told me I had the opportunity to start. He asked me how I felt about it, and I said, 'If the team's going to be better with me starting, I'll all for it.' And we've been good. We're 3-1.
came halves shooting time together
I came out shooting early. There have been times that things have been going real well for me, but this was the first time that I've been able to put two halves together like that.
bit fan mentality support took
The fan support may have been a little bit better in Storrs. But we still took the mentality in Hartford that this is our court.

I like how this looks on me, ... I think I can get used to this.

I'm just happy because this is such a great situation for me and my family, ... I know a good fit when I see one and from the time I arrived here in Washington, the organization has made me and my family feel so welcome. I'm excited about knowing that my future will be with this team.
