So far we're playing pretty well. We knew that our offense was going to be able to produce runs and our defense has been very solid the last couple of years. The big surprise has been the pitching. We have two freshmen who have done outstanding work.

With our defense, we made it clear to both of them that they?re not there to strike people out. Their job is to not give up walks and don?t put the ball down the middle of the plate. They can strike people out, but we don?t want to put that kind of pressure on them. Right now, we have enough to win the game without them striking people out.

That is a lot of hitting right there. We have girls with plenty of experience of batting in clutch situations. We need to keep applying pressure to other teams.
