camp days less lose spring work
If I was going to lose any time, I'll lose less than other players. The first 10 days (of spring camp with the Mets), I'm going to go to work and be with my teammates.
behind cannot doors icon jackie latin opened overlook puerto respect robinson work
We'll respect what Ms. or Mrs. Robinson said. I think that Jackie Robinson was an icon and he opened a lot of doors for African-American players. But having said that, we cannot overlook all the work that Roberto Clemente has done for Puerto Rico and Latin America. I'm 100% behind having No. 21 retired.
good great landed lucky move time work
Things didn't work out in Florida. It's time to move on. Here I am. I landed in a good place with a great opportunity, so I think I got lucky that way.

I don't remember the last time it was 100 percent.
favors man matter speaking talk
At the beginning, that was their approach, ... It doesn't matter if you're Latin, American or Italian, if we're going to talk business, talk business. I'm not doing you any favors, you're not doing me any favors because we're speaking in Spanish. I'm a man first.
expect extremely hit pitching throw
We've been pitching extremely well. We can't expect to throw a shutout every night. They hit more than us.
again february people provoking saying since venezuela
We are celebrating 14 years since February 4 and saying to the imperialists that the people will never again kneel before their aggression. They are provoking Venezuela and we won't let that happen.
answer sold tickets
There are no tickets left; they sold out. There is no other way to answer that.
complement creates game good guys mean meet met predicting realize spend spring team time training winning
I don't know much about how it was before I got here, but I can tell you we have a real good team and that creates a buzz. I feel pretty good about our chances. I'm not good at predicting anything, and after you spend a little time in the game you realize expectations don't mean nothing. I want to go to Spring Training and get in the winning mode. I want to meet some of the guys I've never met and try to see what we can do as a team and what we can't do and find a way we can complement each other.
awesome baseball great honestly honor
I can honestly say it was a great honor to be a part of the first World Baseball Classic. This is a world-class event. It was an awesome experience.
caught chicken excited job perspective run
I am excited about it, but you've got to keep things in perspective. You don't want to run out there crazy, like a chicken with no head. There's a job to do. There's a lot at stake, but you can't get caught up in the emotion.
career face faced glad nice
I am glad that I do not have to face him any more. I think I have faced him probably 80 to 85 times in my career so it is a nice break.
against ball best bragging club cuba cuban draw everybody forward game great hears looking measure people puerto reputation teams
Non-professionally, Cuba is one of the best teams in the world. Everyone hears about what a great reputation the Cuban ball club has. A lot of people want to see Cuba measure up against a professional team so that's going to draw a lot of attention. In Puerto Rico everybody is looking forward to the game against Cuba. I think it's all about bragging rights.
