The talks are still heated, and obviously when you continue to talk there's a possibility. But in this business you don't know if you're on the 5-yard line or the 50. One play could put you in the end zone.

Tennessee is a quality organization and they could use a quality corner. He would solidify what they've done in free agency. Obviously the situation there is something we would look at if they need some help at the corner spot, and he could also play free safety.

We're working on Charles and hoping to get something done. Things are picking up.

It was a combination. What he wanted was to be with a team that was committed to winning. It was very tough with the Packers coming off a 4-12 season, but he felt with Brett in the twilight of his career that he would be looking to win it one more time.

I think the fact that Brett committed to another year, that was one thing Charles was interested in. Another point is that they agreed to let Charles play offense as well as defense. That proved to be very beneficial to them. They wouldn't let him do that in Oakland.

Charles said everything went well. But I expected him to enjoy it. They have good people there and they all know each other.
