catching football game guy next practicing running runs saturday scoring seen slow turning
There was one guy out there with a football after a Saturday walk-through and it was Priest, ... He's practicing scoring a touchdown, catching the football, turning and running to the pylon in slow motion. The next game he catches a pass, runs to the pylon and I say to myself, 'I've seen this play before.'
backs board defensive guy highest looking players rated
He was the highest rated guy on our board without any question. We were looking for defensive backs and players who can set the tone.
best cap contract dollars fear free guys last lose might money players retain smart year
I think it's only smart to retain your own best players first, and then if you have the money and the cap dollars (remaining) to go after free agents. You don't want those guys to ever get to the last year of their contract for fear that you might lose them to free agency.
asked dan guy interested work
I asked Dick if they'd asked him if he was interested in the (Redskins) job, ... Dick said they did, and then he said, 'But I couldn't work for a guy like Dan Snyder.'
channel coaches concern last players safety watched weather
Everyone's concern is the safety of the players and the coaches and the fans. And that's what most paramount. Obviously, I've never watched the Weather Channel as I have in the last 24, 48 hours.
cut maybe
I'm fine. Maybe a little embarrassed. But I didn't cut myself.

If one of them is in for a three-and-out, that's a pretty short series.
casey join league pleased
I'm very pleased to have Casey join the Chiefs. He's a very talented, experienced quarterback from the CFL who was the MVP of that league in 2004.
choices continuing decision determine draft matt might personnel pursue sure worth
I need to know what we think we might be able to get with our draft choices -- particularly our first-day draft choices. Once I can determine that with my personnel people, then I'll make a decision if it's worth continuing to pursue for a first-day draft choice, which I'm sure is what Matt wants.
ahead players talented
I like to think, if you look at our roster, there are some good, young, talented players at every position. You try to look ahead there, but sometimes you just have to make decisions.
decision huge
It was a gutsy decision and a huge win.
consider doctors rest
At this time, we do not consider this a career-threatening injury. The doctors have told us that with rest he will get better and he will be able to play again.
consider
At this time, we consider this not to be a career-ending injury.
absence again anticipate attend believe conduct continue contribute correct despite easy entire expect football fully johnson kansas larry last meetings perform priest running success
We fully expect that Larry Johnson will once again perform admirably in place of Priest, much like he did at the end of last season. Priest will continue to attend meetings and conduct his rehabilitation here in Kansas City. We fully anticipate that despite his absence on the field, Priest will continue to contribute to the success of Larry and our other running backs, as well as our entire football team. These are never easy decisions, but we believe this is the correct one for Priest at this time.
