anyone good great hit playing runs six team
We feel like we're playing great baseball. It's not just my hit or anyone else's hits. This here, to me, is a team. It's not just one person. We put six runs on the board, we got good pitching, and we got a win. A good, team win.
good
It wasn't enough tonight, but there were a lot of good signs. We just have to put it all together. There are just some things we've got to get better at.
cool front good knowing maybe spark work
It was cool. And I think it was good to get it in front of everybody. Maybe it will spark the realization about what it means. It's knowing that this is what you work for.
baseball continue count everybody game good people played pressure puts supposed white
We're not supposed to win, so it puts pressure on everybody else. We've played good baseball like we've done all year, and we're just being ourselves. People are going to continue to count us out, but at the same time, just be the White Sox that we were from the first game of the season.
chasing good pennant scoreboard teams turn watch worry
That's why if it was up to me, I'd turn off all of the TVs in the clubhouse. And I'd turn the (out-of-town) scoreboard off at home, too. What good does it do? When you're in a pennant race, you shouldn't worry about the teams chasing you, so why watch the games?
ahead expect forget frustrated game himself older people pitch pitcher positive saw stay thoughts worry
We saw that he was frustrated with himself a little bit. As older guys, we have to stay on him, make him think positive thoughts. Just one pitch at a time. Get ahead of the hitters. Be the pitcher he can be and forget about some of the thoughts that he has. Just pitch his game and not worry about what people expect from you. He's going to come around.

You get used to it, ... Even sometimes when you don't feel it's something that's right.
confidence knock losing reason today yesterday
There's no reason to get down. We know we can win. Losing yesterday and losing today is not going to knock any confidence from us.
bouncing negative pressure thoughts walk
The pressure is all on the pitcher. He doesn't want me to get a hit, and he doesn't want to walk me. There are probably a lot of negative thoughts bouncing around in his head.
character clutch fought giving played shows
We just didn't get the clutch hit, but we fought the whole way. We played 27 outs and had our opportunities. It shows the character of this team. We're not giving up.
baseball best came defense great league pitching solid
We were solid the whole time. Our pitching was great, we had great defense and it showed tonight. Uribe came up so clutch. He's the best shortstop in the league right there. Without him tonight, we'd still be playing.
balls breaking high learn patient throw zone
You know he's going to throw high fastballs out of the zone and breaking balls. It's just being patient enough. You learn from it.
games losing
I don't know why everyone was stressin' because we weren't losing those games,
