david helping improving integral next team
David will be an integral part of improving our team and helping me get them to the next level.
defensive front good guys job lack mentality
It was just a lack of defensive mentality tonight. We didn't do a good job keep guys in front of us.
ford home loud
It was great. It was a lot like home at the Ford Center. When we had our little lulls, they were loud and got us back into it.
coach deal next stuff type wants
It was just too many things going on player-wise that I didn't like that I wasn't going to be able to deal with the next year. So I wasn't going to put myself in the situation. No coach wants to go through that type of stuff when you have mutiny.
became chance chris compete dan drafted elsewhere guard obvious order point sign starting
After we drafted Chris Paul, it became obvious that Dan would look to sign elsewhere in order to have a chance to compete for a starting point guard job,
became best chance chris compete dan drafted earned elsewhere gives guard last losing luck obvious order point prevents sign starting trade wish
After we drafted Chris Paul, it became obvious that Dan would look to sign elsewhere in order to have a chance to compete for a starting point guard job, ... Making this trade gives Dan that chance, which he earned by what he did for us last season, and it also prevents us from losing him without compensation. We wish him the best of luck in Boston.
achievement bigger experience gotten guys key last looking nice season terrible wins
It's not an achievement, it's what we expected. We've gotten to .500; now the key is to keep going. There are a lot of young guys that didn't experience the terrible season we had last year; the 19 wins is a nice accomplishment, but were looking to do bigger things this season.
basically matter proven
It's not a matter of can we do it. We've proven we can. It's a matter of will we do it. A lot of that is basically heart.
locker start walk
I just want them to be aware. That's why when they walk in that locker room, the first thing they see is the standings, where they are. Now you start to see you're right there.
nice win
It was nice to just win a game.
good plate
It wasn't a good break. He's got to get a plate in there and everything.
base basketball second start team type until using
The base of our team is our athleticism and our quickness. We didn't start using that until the second half. That's the type of basketball we have to play to be successful.
fighting fights-and-fighting gotten intensity level message teams tougher
The intensity level is getting tougher because teams are fighting for the playoffs. And we haven't gotten that message yet.
behind city difference fans fantastic oklahoma people run supported testament
The fans are fantastic and they give us support. That really makes a difference to the players. We know that if we make a run they are going to be behind us. It's a testament to Oklahoma City and the people here, the way they have come out and supported us.
