candidate good guy leave
Comparatively speaking, he's as good a candidate as we have. He's a guy you could potentially put there and leave alone.
far gotten guy makeup physically thinks wants
This guy is going to pitch, and I think he wants to with us. As far as he's come, and where he's gotten physically and stuff-wise, he thinks there's some more there. ... With this guy's makeup and pedigree, I know it's tough.
dealt focus move people time
It is something that we've dealt with and I think he's dealt with it real well, all things considered, and it's time to move on and get the focus back on getting people out.
beyond caution certainly chris feels gone line
I think we've gone over and beyond the line of caution on our part. I think Chris certainly feels that way.
everybody good guys last lost people showing
I think what he's doing is showing everybody what (the A's) lost last year, ... It's always good to see good professional people like (Ellis) come back. We need guys like him.
ball batting strong watch
I think there's more there. All you have to do is watch batting practice. He makes the ball go. He's strong. He's a pretty strong man.
guy
J.D. is very adamant about getting this guy back to where he was.
figure last medical reports season
Last season he had a lot of swelling, but there isn't any of that this time. We're going to have to see the medical reports and then figure out where we go from there.
ball caught felt saw
I saw our right fielder felt like he caught the ball and so did our infielders.
fun gary good guys
Our guys had a lot of fun tonight. I thought we got good at-bats and Gary (Matthews) had a big one for us.
ball bat centers great kevin power seeing starting strong swing
Kevin had a great spring. He started off slow, having a nagging injury, but he is starting to swing the bat well. He is seeing the ball well and centers the ball so well. Kevin is so strong that the ball has a lot of carry. He can just power the ball out of here.
drive five hit kenny line pitching until
Kenny was pitching well until he got hit by that line drive and he battled his way through five innings.
good hit kenny pitches seen
Kenny was effective. They've seen Kenny so much. They hit some good pitches for hits. He bent, but he didn't break.
chance five good innings kevin pitches took tribute
Kevin made good pitches when he had to, but it took a lot out of him. It was a tribute to him that he was able to get through it for five innings and give us a chance there.
