I believe God has instilled in us a craving, a deep desire to run with Him on a fantastic adventure, yet many of us crawl along in life without even a glimpse of our hidden passion. There has to be a reason for living. There must be a Camelot, a hidden Utopia where we can rest from our personal campaigns. Fantasy opens our eyes to a better place, a shining city we do not yet know. And these stories provide a mental bridge to that city as we pursue horizons we could never distinguish with our physical eyes.

Armijo is supposed to be a team we should beat, ... It's not our opportunities aren't there. We're not doing the things we need to do in the games.

We have emphasized not to be scared of anyone since I got here, ... We don't want tradition to beat us before we get on the field. We have to have a gritty performance. Sometimes we will come out on the short end of the stick, but our kids will play really hard. With that in mind, I won't be disappointed at all if they give me everything they have.

Ben kept us in it in the first half. He was really on fire, ... We controlled the second half, but we couldn't finish. We had at least four breakaways, with nothing to show for it.

real hero eye
Fantasy stories open our eyes to an unseen world and train our minds to see beyond the visible. In the New Testament context, this is where our real battles are fought. Good fantasy will reveal the hidden powers of evil that threaten the hero's life and upset his journey. Good fantasy focuses on how a hero finds victory when he learns that he can't win by himself, so he submits to the higher power in faith and obedience.
