bombed both difference focus losses lost reason
He was the difference in both of our losses to them. We did focus on him a little more. But for some reason we lost him and he bombed a couple.
chance complete glad season
The season probably wouldn't be complete if we didn't get a chance to play them again. And I'm glad it's going to happen.
beat eight gives lead league lose relax talent team tough
As tough as this league is, you can lose at any time. This gives us a one-game lead with eight to go. Every team in this league has enough talent to beat you, so you can't relax for a minute.
guys needed playing plays step
Even when we are not playing our best, we still find a way. We had a lot of different guys step up and make plays when we needed them to.
buy came joe played playing powers reed tyler
Okemos was playing really well, and that had a lot more to do with it than us playing poorly. They were all over us; we couldn't buy a shot. But Tyler Reed played awfully well, and Joe Powers came through for us.
saying time tone tried turn
We've tried to tone it down as much as possible. But every time you turn around, someone's saying something else about it.
father fathers feeling game good teach
Joe's a good player, but he's only a sophomore. His father used to teach at Okemos, so I had a feeling he'd have a big game for us.
almost bad choice choices fast instead playing
We made some really bad choices and mistakes. We started playing fast instead of playing the way we play. We were almost in trouble.
dominated paul trade
Paul may not have scored (much), but I wouldn't trade (that). He dominated the inside.
ball best dedicate floor good great himself leader maybe player post run shape
He has to dedicate himself to getting into a little better shape so he can run the floor better, and he will have to be a better leader on the floor, and off the floor. He handles the ball well. He's got great hands, good feet. I think he'll be the best post player around, maybe in the state.
couple free guy guys help preserve shows stretch takes throws understanding younger
I look at a guy like Joe, who is just a sophomore, but he made a couple of big free throws down the stretch to help us preserve the lead. That shows me that even the younger guys are understanding what it takes to win.
came
I don't know if it was a hangover, but we just came out too passive.
freshmen halfway
By the end of the freshmen game, there were 2,500 here. Halfway through the JV game, they said there were 3,100. It was pretty electric.
