biggest defense five fourth half problem second turned
I thought the biggest thing was our defense in the fourth quarter. The other big thing was we had only five turnovers in the second half. That was a big problem for us in the first half -- we turned it over too much.
credit defense good heck offensive percent shoot shoots shots team tough
We couldn't make any shots and we didn't play very good defense in the first half, which got us in a hole. I give them credit - they're a heck of an offensive team. They're a tough team to guard. We shoot 38 percent and the other team shoots 53 percent, it makes it tough.
best defense half might played
That might have been the best half of defense that we've played all season.
ball defense gets great knows plays practice reacting sees thinking types
Even after the first practice with us you could tell that he just has such a great feel for the game. It's those types of plays where he sees how the defense is reacting and he's thinking one play ahead. He knows what the play is going to be even before the ball gets to him. That's priceless.
defense forget incredible physical shots
Forget about 81 points. To be able to get up that many shots and still play defense at the other end of the floor, that's a pretty incredible physical accomplishment.
basketball bit defense force goes good light maybe realize share situations together
Sometimes the light goes on a little bit later. Maybe this is one of those situations where we just realize if we play together and share the basketball and play good defense and force some turnovers and get out and run, we can be pretty good.
careless defense deserved
Some of it was Chicago's defense and some of it was us being careless with the ball. They deserved to win. It was not one of our better efforts.
against attacking certainly chance constantly defense explode gives guys hope night points pound tough toughest
He's one of those guys who any night can explode for 40 or 50 or -- you certainly hope not -- 60 points against you. He's so tough because he's constantly attacking and he never really gives your defense a chance to relax. And pound for pound he's probably the toughest guy in the league.
defense doubt everybody excellent game home obviously phoenix pleased point team tough wins
Home wins are huge, no doubt about it. We got excellent contributions from everybody at some point in the game and I was obviously pleased with our defense at the end. Phoenix is a tough team to defend.
road time waiting
We've always said there's something better down the road waiting for you. It wasn't the right time or the right place.
camp group guys hate hear love players playoffs rule season start training until
We're not going to rule out the playoffs until we're mathematically eliminated. I know the players would hate to hear this, but I'd love to go to training camp with this group of guys right now and start the season all over again.
ahead fighting front means playoff spot stay teams winning
We're still fighting for that playoff spot and that just means those teams in front of us have to keep winning to stay ahead of us.
far games happen left matter number people playing refuse
With the number of games we have left to go, the one thing we refuse to let happen is we're not going to come out and go through the motions. It doesn't matter who's out there playing as far as I'm concerned. We're just going to play the people who play the hardest.
basketball bearing commitment games next training win year
What we did this year has no bearing on how many games we win next year. There has to be a commitment in the off-season to get better, and there has to be a commitment when we come back to training camp. If we make that commitment, then we'll be a better basketball team.
