Mike analyzes everything. He works at his trade. He came into it new, and spent countless hours learning the craft, talking with people around the league to find out what it is he needs to do, and given that opportunity, how he would approach being a head coach. He's very detailed in his preparation. Mike's a very deep thinker and very passionate about the game, and those are two pretty good qualities to become a head coach.

Not good enough. You've got to make plays if you're going to keep up with an outstanding team like that. They (Indianapolis) give up a lot of yards, they give up a lot of 10-play drives, but they're one of the best teams in the league about keeping you out of the end zone once you get down there. They play to that strength and wait for their offense to get a lead, and that formula worked tonight.

It's finally nice to have a game where everything goes your way. It was one of those nights where everything was going to work for us.

When you're a 2-4 football team, you go back to work and you work your way through. That's what's left of this team right now, ... Any player you bring in, you have to be concerned about team chemistry. It's not necessarily the guy may or may not be a bad apple. It's just in terms of demeanor and work ethic. We have very good team chemistry. This team has been together for a while and has developed a certain camaraderie. You don't want to disrupt that.

I think we're a better football team than we were last year, in every sense, ... This could very well be the best football team we've had since I've been here, which in essence says that we think we are capable, playoff, Super Bowl-caliber team. However, we did not make the playoffs last year. We don't have the right to talk in those terms. We've got a lot of work to do.
